Dandelion Highway Shines Bright with “We Are Gold”

Irish Canadian folk duo Dandelion Highway are set to release the second single and video “We Are Gold” from their upcoming EP The Crossing recorded with Canadian producer, musician and composer Ron Lopata (Jacksoul, Jully Black, Lindi Ortega).
Kayleigh McGavock and Chris Sytnyk invite you to look back on past relationships with fondness in this duet. Chris, being an eternal optimist, was inspired by a chance meeting with an ex and the realisation that it’s all good, everyone’s happy for each other. “We Are Gold”
The video was shot at Press Club Vinyl in Scarborough, Ontario to bring character to the background of the performance.
““We Are Gold” follows the day-in-the-life of a song, from its seed, to sprout, to final growth, the simple beauty and real work of the artist as they make the imagined a reality,” Director and producer Mark Zerenyi explains. “An interspersed narrative, Chris and Kayleigh rehearse at home before recording with their compatriots in the studio,and finally performing live for the audience. The authentic joy of creating art mirrors that of simply being alive.”
Born and raised in Waterford, Ireland, McGavock is a soulful folk singer with a uniquely creative approach to the guitar. Sytnyk is a Canadian touring and session musician who has shared the stage and studio with some of Canada’s biggest musical acts. The two artists began collaborating after attending a concert for Irish singer CMAT together and realising they shared a love for Irish Folk Songs, puppies and grapefruit tea.
