Hello actors and filmmakers,

Many of you may know me as a film publicist for my company Skylar Entertainment that I ran for 14 years. I achieved my dream of working in the film industry and being surrounded by creative actors and filmmakers like you.

My first film publicity gig was a documentary premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2008. My second gig was working with an actress that was in a film with major celebrity talent.  Off to L.A. I went to be thrown into figuring out how to work a Hollywood red carpet.  Both experiences were “go big or go home” introductions to film publicity.

I have since represented actors and films at other top events including Hot Docs, Reel World, Italian Contemporary, Canadian Cinema Editors Awards, and for three years I was the director of public relations for the Female Eye Film Festival.

I’ve been honored to participate as a panelist and industry expert for conferences and media outlets including the Northern Ontario Music & Film Conference (film publicity), Reel Indie Film Festival (film publicity), Straight Talk on Sun News Network (PR crisis management for celebrities) and CanWest News (image & branding coach).

I know what it takes to increase awareness and secure international media coverage and would be thrilled to join your team.  Learn more about me.

“Diane accomplished a lot on very short notice when she handled Diving Into The Unknown’s North American festival premiere at Hot Docs”

"Diane was amazingly dedicated to getting as much exposure for our event as possible & she succeeded beyond our expectations."

Canadian Cinema Editors Awards Publicist

"Diane has done an outstanding job with the publicity of the Female Eye Film Festival and has continuously secured major media coverage for our films and talent."

"I don’t know what I would have done without Diane. If it wasn’t for her working the red carpet at Brauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, there is absolutely no way I would have had the photographs of me splashed all over the web, or had interviews with the different media outlets like Entertainment Tonight, Maxim and E!"

"Diane Foy worked tirelessly as the publicist for the world premiere of Yes Madam, Sir at the Toronto Int Film Festival. It was a hectic schedule with five public and press/industry screenings as Diane worked around the clock to organise and liase with print, radio and TV media to raise the profile of our independent production. What resulted was a huge buzz surrounding the film with packed houses at all screenings."
